I’m super nervous. Like, it’s not even describable how nervous I am. But I’m almost convinced I have bacterial vaginosis and I’ve known for a long time. But I didn’t learn until just today that if it doesn’t get treated, it can turn into something serious. So I made my plan that I’m going to the Options for Sexual Health drop-in clinic next week. What are they going to do?

There are an increasing number of people looking for home remedies for bacterial vaginosis for a number of reasons, but whatever yours is, it is a great alternative to mainstream over-the-counter products that sometimes do nothing to treat your condition. Home remedies include 100 percent natural ingredients which are not only good for you, but also don’t come with any negative side-effects like you might expect to experience from antibiotic medications or other methods of treatment.
One natural way to get rid of your bacteria vaginosis is to use yogurt. Believe it or not, yogurt might just be the key to relieving you from your vaginosis because it contains one important thing, bacteria. Even though bacteria is the reason for your inflammation, it can still help you. The added bacteria contained in most yogurts is actually good for you, it’s what is known as healthy bacteria, as opposed to the unhealthy kind that is in your body now.
Another way to start feeling better is to drink plenty of water. As simple as it might seem, water is extremely powerful. It flushes out all of the toxins and bacteria from your body that collect over the course of each day. This is why drinking water on a regular basis is so important if you want to stay healthy and active.
You can also try using oil of oregano as one of the many home remedies for bacterial vaginosis. You can either apply it internally or you can use it as a supplement. Although the taste leaves much to be desired, it can still be extremely effective. Although all the ingredients used in these remedies are completely natural, you should talk with your doctor before starting on any one type of remedy. The more you know about your body and the way it reacts to certain things, the better chance you will have of clearing up your vaginosis quickly and effectively.

Bacterial vaginosis, although many think it is, it’s not an infection but rather an inflammation that is caused by excess amounts of bacteria which have been growing over time in your body. While the word doesn’t sound very good, bacteria can be both good and bad. The good bacteria in the body, in this case specifically in the vagina, can help to keep the bad type of bacteria under control. In the case of vaginosis, the bad bacteria overwhelms the good and the delicate balance is destroyed, creating inflammation.

There are some good bacterial vaginosis over the counter products that can and will make you feel better and completely get rid of your condition. I have been having a burning feeling inside the inner labia just under the clitoris. It sometimes looks a little red and sometimes it does not. I recently took Diflucan and that didn’t help. Now I am noticing a slightly thick, milky discharge. I’m starting to wonder if it could be bacterial vaginosis. Would BV cause burning in the clitoral area without causing burning in and around the vagina?
