Treating your partner for bacterial vaginosis?

I might have bacterial vaginosis, i’m waiting for the results of the test. I’m 3 months pregnant and I know it can’t be good for the baby. My partner will have to be treated as well, but he will have to go to the doctor, and it’s not always an easy task ( especially for something like this) to get him to go. I’m wondering if anyone has ever had BV and their doctor wrote a prescription for their partner as well?

Can you get bacterial vaginosis if you are NOT having sex?

I am a virgin,
but I have been researching, and I have all the symptoms of bacterial vaginosis, could it still be this or something else, because i heard it was an STD…
