I have bacterial vaginosis as diagnosed by my doctor. It has reccured twice and all three times I have recieved Metronidazole 500 mg bid for 7 days. I am woundering because on the net I see putting yogurt in your vagina helps? I am wondering if anyone has done this, and how to tell if it is a live culture of yogurt. How would one clean up after this? I really dont want to put anything in my vagina that might make the infection worse. please help!
Note seriouse answers please I am reporting all bad answers as abuse.

had been having discharge and irritation for months and finally i got myself to go into family planning, and was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis. I am now taking flagyl 500 mg 2 a day for 7 days. I started taking them on sunday. Will this compltely cure me of bv? These pills make me kinda sick, and When does the discharge and symptoms usually start to go away?
BTW, my doctor said this is totally not trasmittable and my partner does not need to be treated.

I’ve been struggling with BV for some time now. I think it is abnormal for this infection to keep comming back, but my doctor insists that it is common in a lot of women and hard to fet rid of and keep gone. He told me things that could trigger it are eating to much junk food and sugar and also my partners semin could be throwing off the PH balance down there and also causing the infection. I just don’t believe that the reaccurance of this infection is normal. Anyone have any tips or suggetions for me?

I know that various things can mess up the ph of the vagina but has anyone ever experienced getting BV after sexual intercourse because of the fluids (semen, sperm, or just fluids) that come out of the penis. I’m not talking about STDs both people are disease free. What did you do for this issue. I mean if this is your monogamus partner or spouse you dont want to use condoms for the rest of your marriage or relationship.

I checked the sypmoms online on several websites but none of them mentions urination urgency as a symptom of BV. But could it be? Anyone had any experience like mine?
I have all the other BV symtoms and I was tested for a UTI a few days ago and I don’t have it.

Doctors usually prescribe a medication like Metronidizole tablets or vaginal gel, and I’ve heard that a tea tree oil douche helps with preventing it, but are there other natural remedies to cure or prevent this unusual feminine infection?
