Will taking an acidophilius (culturelle) cause or help treat bacterial vaginosis?

Gave birth 4 weeks ago now I have odor and itchy burning. I started culturelle a week ago now the past 3 days I’ve had symptoms of BV.
I know it’s not a yeast infection, I’ve had both yeast and bacterial infections and this is definitely BV.

What causes bacterial vaginosis?

I am soooo tired of getting that "can of catfood" odor about me every few months! I am CLEAN! I wash up several times a day! I wear cotton undies during the day. I don’t wear undies at all at night, except during Aunt Flow visists. I drink a lot of water. I eat my veggies. You would think with using anti-bacterial soap to wash up, I wouldn’t have this problem! I’ve been getting more bv than candida since I got pregnant with my now 5 year old daughter.
IT IS DISGUSTING! WHAT can I do, besides what I am already doing, to prevent the delicate balance of my vagina from going kerflooee!?
BTW, I am going to the doc tomorrow to get yet another prescrip for Flagil.
If you answer in a smart@$$y way, you will be reported. I am a grown woman with a genuine concern.

17 weeks and 3 days pregnant, have a low lying placenta and was told that i have bacterial vaginosis?

and that even with treatment it may not go away and the treatment may cause problems with the pregnancy, but un treated it could cause the same problems. i’m worried about this, i was actually told that i had it when i got looked at on december 26th but they are just now getting around to treating it, and they aren’t sure if it’s going to help. what are the risks of having it? and is there anything that i can do to prevent myself from going into pre term labor as they said happens most of the time? just need advice.
