I think my bacterial vaginosis came back?

When I had my pap smear done in July, I found out I had bacterial vaginosis and my doctor gave me some medicine for it. Now, I think the infection has come back because I’ve been having a lot of brown discharge between my periods so I made an appointment to see my doctor again. Do you think I’ll need to get a pelvic exam again or do you think the doctor will just re-prescribe?

That doesn’t sound like bv at all. It might just be spotting in between periods. I’d get the exam… better safe than sorry
