Should I get checked for Bacterial Vaginosis?

I’ve been suffering from Bacterial Vaginosis for the past 6 months and I keep getting treated and it keeps coming back. For the past 3 weeks I had a horrible smell. I have a doctors appointment tomorrow. Today my boyfriend and I had sex and used a condom and KY Jelly, There is no smell anymore. Should I still get checked out tomorrow?

well having sex will just make it worse. thats why it keeps coming back. get cured fully and wait to have sex again.

Yes. Go to the doctor and tell him/her exactly what you have experienced and the doc will know what to test you for.

Just tell your doctor that your sick of it recurring and ask him to put you on a longer course to get rid of if for good. I’ve done the same for thrush that kept coming back for years and I eventually nearly throttled my doctor, he put me on a three week course of diflucan and for the first times in years i’ve been thrush free for months!!!

I’ve also had bv a few times and it’s not pleasant.
